The New Standard Weepa for weep holes, comes with a pre assembled vermin grate and removable mortar guard to protect the vermin grate during construction.

Cavity brick walls must have weep holes to properly provide drainage and ventilation, but have the potential to provide access for vermin and can present a bushfire hazard.

A weep hole former with a PVC grate designed to create a perfect, functional and attractive weephole.

Installed by the bricklayer during construction.

Suitable for face brick or rendered brick and block.

The green mortar protector is removed after installation, leaving a clean and beautiful finish.

Ensures ventilation and drainage of the cavity to reduce fungal decay and mildew.

Statutory Requirements for Weep Holes
Building requirements - The Australian Standard AS 3700-2018 for Masonry Structures Section 4.7.2 says "Weepholes shall be provided to drain moisture from or through masonry construction. Where flashings are incorporated in the masonry, weepholes shall be provided in the masonry course immediately above the flashing, at centres not exceeding 1200 mm." 

Bushfire requirements - The Australian Standard for Construction in Bushfire Prone areas (AS3959:2018) stipulates that new buildings in bushfire prone areas require weep hole protection to prevent ember attack. It specifies the requirements for ember screening to meet the various Bushfire Attack Level (BALs).
